Choosing a Fleece for Hand Spinning and Processing

Gail will help you select a fleece for Hand Spinning and/or processing.

 

We will skirt a fleece and discuss what to look for in a Hand Spinning fleece.

 

Limitations of machinery at the mills and any questions you may have.

Bio.  Gail White

Gail has been involved with fiber and fiber animals since the middle 70's. She has raised angora bunnies, and had up to 45 Targhee sheep.

The animals were all dispersed in 2007 when Gail, Jim and Ozark Carding moved to Durant, OK in May of 2007.

Gail has been an avid Hand Spinner, hand and machine knitter for many years.

She started Ozark Carding Mill in 1995 in Snohomish, WA moving to MO in 1996 with a job change for Jim. They spent 12 years on the farm in MO. Gail is a certified wool classer and has judged fleece shows in MI, MO, and NC.

Gail teaches classes in dyeing fiber and yarn, fleece selection for Hand Spinning and preparing your fiber for the processor.
