Turn off that oven! Step away from the stove! It’s time to get outside and back to nature by learning to dye wool using sunlight. With all this natural energy, why waste electricity to dye fiber?
In this class, students will walk through the solar dyeing process by setting up jars for dyeing as well as discussing tips and tricks for getting the most out the sun’s rays. Each student will create their own dye jars to take home while learning the ins and outs of solar dyeing. You will be amazed by just how simple it can be!
- Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or a full coverage apron.
