What is Fiber Christmas in July?

We have a Fiber Festival at the Creek County Fairgrounds between Sapulpa and Kellyville on Route 66 the last weekend in July.

2013 is our 7th year for the event, and we try to include all types of fiber arts from knitting to spinning to felting and weaving.  We typically have every fiber and yarn type available from commercial yarns to fluffy to funky handspun.  The event hosts vendors from Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Missouri with all  manner of fiber tools.

We offer classes on everything from beginner to advanced for all facets of the fiber arts.

This blog is not intended for chat, but is primarily intended as a forum to keep everyone up to speed on Fiber Christmas in July happenings.

I really enjoyed the 100 Color Class which was offered at a later date. There was a lady there making soap. I know it’s not fiber related but I would love to take a soap-making class.

    Also, a nuno felting class.

    Can’t wait!!!

I am searching for some reasonably priced sari ribbon yarn. Have not been able to find it locally. There were a few vendors at fiber Christmas that carried it. Would it be possible for you to send your vendor list from this past summer? Thanks.

My friend and I drove up from Muskogee for the show and really enjoyed it. Hope to come next year too. And bring more friends.
